Fenofibrate is a medication of the fibrate class is used with a low-fat diet, exercise to treat abnormal blood lipid levels. It helps lower ‘bad’ cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise ‘good’ cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.
