Ketotifen is an antihistamine to prevent asthma attacks or anaphylaxis, as well as various allergic-type disorders. It prevents allergic reactions by reducing the release and blocking a certain natural substances that causes an allergic reaction. It reduces the effects of metabolic substances known as histamines which is the main reason for the allergy problems.

Take this medication generally twice daily and must be taken regularly to be effective. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
