Drug Uses

Diflucan is a fast and effective medication prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections called candidiasis (vaginal infections, throat infections, and other fungal infections elsewhere).



Usage

Strictly obey the directions of your doctor. Read the medicine label to have more information in detail. Diflucan comes in liquid and tablet form. Liquid form Diflucan should be shaken well before using it.

Missed Dose

Missed doses should be consumed as soon as possible if you still have 4 to 5 hours remaining for the next dosage. Otherwise, leave the dose and continue as usual resuming the course with the next dose.



Storage

Keep it aside from children and pets and also avoid direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Room temperature is best for Diflucan.



Overdose

Reach the nearest hospital if you doubt overdose, if you notice effects like hallucinations, paranoia, confusion, decreased movement, tearing eyes, drooling, decreased breathing, urinary incontinence, seizures, or it could be fatal in an extreme case.
Warning/Precautions
Avoid Diflucan if you are allergic to any ingredient in it or if you are consuming astemizole, an aldosterone blocker (eg, eplerenone), an ergot alkaloid (eg, ergotamine), cisapride, erythromycin, pimozide, etc.

Explain all the clinical states you have been through so far and also mention all the medicines you have taken and currently taking.

You should be very cautious if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or if you are breastfeeding.
