Imipramine belongs to a class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants and works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances (neurotransmitters) in the brain. Imipramine is used to treat symptoms of depression and sometimes used to treat bed-wetting in children ages 6 and older.

This medication should be taken with or without food usually 1-4 times daily or as directed by your doctor.
